Hi everyone,
Apologies to our overseas backers on the lack of news -- pieces are still in motion, but we received an update from Quartermaster and the regional hubs on Friday, and here's where things seem to stand:
- AU/NZ orders: Aetherworks expects to receive the inventory at the end of this week (around June 30), and fulfillment should be able to begin the following week or so barring any delays.
- EU/UK orders: Spiral Galaxy has received everything and is in the process of checking it in. Assuming there are no issues discovered during their unpacking, they say they should hope to have these out starting the end of this coming week. 😊
- Asia orders: QML is under the impression that VFI has shipped out those orders already, but we're waiting on confirmation and tracking information from them to be sure...
So if all goes well, those remaining int'l orders should be in your hands in just a few weeks! 😃 Watch your inboxes for address verification and tracking email from those hubs soon!

Happy hump day, everyone!
Just a quick update with some good news -
I'm told that DOMESTIC ORDERS HAVE STARTED SHIPPING! 🥳
Watch for an email with tracking info from @qmlogistics.com. They expect to have all orders packed and out the door within the next week-to-10-business-days, so give it a little time to make the journey before getting concerned. Granted, this is based on their estimation, and if anything comes up to introduce any delays, we'll first try to resolve those delays, then let you know if it affects expectations.
International orders should leave US territory in the next week or so as well, and we'll keep you posted as that inventory reaches and passes through their respective regional hubs. I'd say to expect that turnaround to take a few more weeks, but we will let you know as things reach their various checkpoints.
We can't wait for you to get these beautiful books!!!

We just got word that Quartermaster has sent the Address Verification Emails, so if you are a domestic/North American backer (including Canada) and need to double-check or change your shipping address, watch your inboxes (and spam folders) for a message from QuartermasterLogistics.com <[email protected]>! You will have until Monday morning to submit any address changes before they lock and print your shipping labels.
Final packing/shipping is expected to start on TUESDAY! 😃
International order inventory is departing for the regional hubs in the UK, AU, and Asia next week as well. It will take a few more weeks for that freight to reach those warehouses, and a few more weeks after that for those hubs to get the orders packed and sent. We will keep you posted on their progress as they reach key checkpoints along the way.

Hi everyone!
Hope your week is off to a good start -- we've got a lot going on, and wanted to fill you in on the latest MONKEY KING progress and timetable.
Quartermaster is in the process of assembling the stretch goal bundles and separating out the international hub stock. If all goes as planned, they currently expect to be able to send Address Verification emails out this Friday, with shipping potentially able to start NEXT WEEK. I must emphasize that this is their current estimation and hope as of last Friday, and things may happen between now and that target end date, but right now, things are looking good. 😎
International order inventory will also be shipped out to those hubs at the same time. It usually takes a couple of weeks (or more) for that inventory to reach those hubs, plus a couple more weeks for those hubs to assemble and ship those orders out, so you may not receive your orders for a few more weeks after domestic shipping has been reported. We will keep you posted on those individual hub timelines as they report back to us, but we're hoping things will be able to move pretty smoothly. (Praying daily that we don't have another freight fiasco like we did with last fall's GIANTESS/ZARKASS/TEMUDJIN joint shipment... chances of that happening againarepretty slim, though...)
We can't wait for you to receive your MONKEY KING items! They turned out so beautiful, we know you'll be pleased. 😉

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! A few of you have requested an update, and for the most part, there isn't much news to report from the previous updates (particularly Update #19) -- the final items are expected to reach Quartermaster by late next week at which point they'll begin the fulfillment process: assembling and shipping all domestic orders and separating out international stock for those hubs. As estimated in that previous update, things still look good for them to begin shipping in May! 😊 We will keep you updated as they near the shipping date.
On a related side note, I recently spent a full day bagging and barcoding ALL of the weapon replicas -- individually, they're a nice, expected weight for a zinc-alloy metal desk toy, but 500+ of them together are HEAVY! Getting these boxes to UPS and on their way to QML was a chore...!
Once the coins and Stretch Goal bonus sticker sheets arrive there next week, things will start moving as anticipated. 😊

1) We can only run so many projects on Kickstarter at a time -- it takes several weeks to prepare a campaign, several more to run them, and several more afterward to fulfill. While we have admittedly been quite active on Kickstarter these past 2+ years, we can only squeeze in so many projects per year. Testing out a backup platform like Backerkit might provide an opportunity to slide additional excellent projects in between. 😊
2) Frankly, we were planning to launch this project on Kickstarter, but we were caught by surprise by another DRACULA/FRANKENSTEIN graphic novel adaptation on Kickstarter that beat us to the stage. We won't bother linking to it, but even though we believe our adaptations stand clearly on their own in terms of presentation and quality, we felt it was unfortunately too risky to promote such a similar-sounding project on the same marketplace so soon afterward. The chance of campaign confusion was just too great to ignore. We are quite confident that our adaptations measure strongly on their own (and will ship months before the other project is expected to), but we needed to be prudent about our position on the platform. Backerkit may be a smaller forum, but they know what they are doing with years of crowdfunding experience (and data), and we think our project can be a standout there. We shall see! 🤞
3) We have another super-exciting Kickstartercampaign in the works that will hopefully debut in the next few weeks... 😉 Stay tuned!
Yes, it is elsewhere. And it is different. But the pledging process works the same way, and chances are (especially as a Backer of MONKEY KING or any of our other campaigns) you are already familiar with how Backerkit works. Are we trading in Kickstarter for Backerkit? NO WAY! Kickstarter has become our primary pre-sale platform and a cornerstone in all of our new project strategies. But having access to alternate successful platforms can be beneficial for everyone: more excellent projects can be offered, tailored to each platform's strength and appeal. We'll likely keep our "Premiere Headliners" here on KS, but having a second stage will give other projects a chance to capture an audience and grow...
